Or putting the hat on top of your head so the bill is like a Mohawk! Or putting rocks in your hat and shaking it well your team is up to bat. Love the Rally Cap, and non baseball people don’t know it really works.

Speaking of things we haven’t talked about on here: “The Jinx”…telling the pitcher in the 7th inning that he is throwing a perfect game or a no-hitter. Comments?

Well put Flick, well put. Watching the Rockies now and Ubaldo is sucking. 4-1 lead and he gives up a 5 run 3rd inning, with 5 singles, an HBP and 2 wild pitches. Not a great start I must say.

Every game that they play that stupid “Heyyyyyyy hey baby. . .” song, I get the urge to inflict serious pain on the nearest human. Considering that the closest person to me at this time is usually my wife, the song needs to change soon.

The wave at a baseball game is worthless and I will tell you why – the only people who like the wave are morons in the ridiculously cheap seats and anyone under the age of 12. The last few games in which the wave has come into play, it has been a close game and at a pivotal point in the game. I’m talking top of the 8th, Rox up by 1, bullpen sucking, runners on, no outs and some drunk frat guy in the Rockpile decides it is wave time. Sorry, buddy. Don’t have time for the wave – I have a game to watch.

Speaking of Sweet Caroline (which by the way is a pretty sweet idea for a baseball team to have a song to sing during the 7th inning stretch after ‘Take me out to the Ball Game”), can you believe we have to sing “Heeeeeeey, Hey baby…oh aw, I want to knooooow, If you’ll be my girl”. We could have a better song for Denver then that, I mean, our state song is “Rocky Mountain High”. We could have chosen, “Thank God I’m a country boy” or any other country song, but no.

However, I know Flick hates the wave, which I am not to excited about it, but I do agree that it doesn’t have a place in baseball. First of all it is distracting, and second, that is a Broncos thing to me!!

Dude, you hit it right on. There is something about watching a game live. And here, it’s really fun. The wave is not cheesy. Everyone sings along to Sweet Caroline. There are chants, and good nature (most of the time, but I take care of the other people) and fun rowdiness of the crowd. I’ve lived the baseball fan’s dream…and I appreciate the experience. I still wear my Tulo jersey on days where Red Sox clothes are allowed at work. Who cares about the heckles? Even I know that dude is totally awesome.
