Flickerbock I think I figured out why we both like grape-nuts.

As civil engineers specializing in highway related projects we love grape-nuts because they are the cereal analog to Reused Asphalt Pavement.

They were rolled out in a flat sheet then milled up into little chunks for our enjoyment.

Or maybe grape-nuts are the reason I became an engineer?

I am not a big fan of soggy cereal. in fact, I hate it. I put a minimal amount of milk in the bowl and eat it before it turns to mush. In my eyes, Grape-Nuts is not just “tolerable”, Deuce. They are glorious little pieces of deliciousness in granular form.

I also love the combination of Grape Nuts and Honey Nut Cheerios. So good.

I love cereal as much as the next fella, but I just want to point out that this is a conversation that has lasted longer then all but the baseball story. Isn’t it wonderful how we can all just sit here and chat about cereal?

Grape Nuts, very good when mixed with oatmeal. However, as a cold cereal, I would say there are too many other great cereals to even eat this by itself. Honey Nut Cheerios and Life cereal are the best!

Grape nuts is a cereal that requires a little milk and trip to the microwave to soften them up. Then they are tolerable.

Something is wrong with you flickerbock. Grape Nuts are the most horrible concoction I’ve ever made the mistake of putting in my mouth. I tried about two bites out of a bowl and was unable to finish it.

My top 5:
Cocoa Puffs
Rice Krispies
Frosted Flakes
Golden Grahms (with honey on top)
Frosted Mini Chex. -do they still make this? I haven’t seen it in forever.

Although I am not a cereal fanatic like the rest of you kids, from time to time I get a gargantuan craving for some cereal. And it always gets me buying the following cereals: Cinnamon Toast Crunch (delicious), Honey Nut Cheerios (not regular), Cracklin’ Oat Bran (no real logical explanation), Grape Nuts (neither grapes nor nuts?), or Lucky Charms (mmm. . . marshmallows). I think I just got the itch. I’m gonna run to the store.
