Damn you Dagger!! I thought Goose was gone in real life. Mr. Anthony Edwards is a great guy in this movie and it sounds like we all agree, Top Gun is Top Gun because of Goose. Without Goose, Top Gun would have been some mediocre flick that we all watched just because it was about Naval Aviation.

Flick, I agree. Did Maverick really love Goose? I mean seriously. Look how many times Maverick did what he wanted to do and not what was best for the team: Maverick's won a bet against Goose by getting the number of a guy (which you can tell as Goose makes sure to put the disclaimer in the bet they make at the bar before they sing "lost that loving feeling" (which I know you all will sing the song after reading this)), Maverick let Charlie get between the friendship (example: Maverick leaves goose hanging at a 1 win, 1 loss tie in the volleyball match to go see Charlie), Maverick always buzzed the tower even when Goose would tell Mav that it wasn't a good idea - do I need to go on? Maverick should have done what was best for the team. Not jeopardize every opportunity they had together.

I had the same reaction as Tron. I thought to myself "wow, he dies in the movie and now real life." Alas it was not true you just watched Top Gun.

Lately, I have questioned Mavericks love for Goose. I mean, he never even went on Oprah and jumped on couches for Goose. Maybe Tom Skerritt was right.

I was almost really depressed. I had to read the article to determine whether or not Anthony Edwards actually died, or if you watched Top Gun this morning, Dagger.

I too was scrolling through the movie options on digital cable this morning and noticed Top Gun. But by the time I came upon it there was only 30 minutes left. My exact thoughts were "Ooo, Top Gun! Oh but Goose is already dead, I'm not watching." And i settled for some move with the Coreys, and I too am now depressed.
