Canada’s attempt to be better than the “States” by having their 4th of July three days earlier. Sorry Canada you’re still just America’s hat.

I like to call it “America Junior”. My Canadian coworker loves that.

I was just on Sporcle taking the quiz about the lyrics to our National Anthem and the Canadian National Anthem… their anthem is much better than ours. I got all of our lyrics right, but only because I’ve been to a zillion sporting events. Canada’s is more direct, less abstract, and sung with a better cadence. I’m uncomfortable admitting that, but there it is.
