I like how through all the American Pie movies I believe Eugene Levy is the only recurring character. He is the only good reason to see the last two.

100% agree with this. Eugene Levy is easily the best part of this movie. The gross out jokes and Stiffler's antics wear thin quickly upon re-watching, but Levy is so understated in his actions that his scenes take on that uncomfortable vibe that movies like Election and shows like The Office do so well.

The best part is that Levy plays it with a good heart unlike the cliched overbearing, hamfisted dad in so many other movies. He has the best intentions but is absolutely without a clue how to broach these sensitive subjects with his son. He's embarrassing but sweet.

Plus, my buddy Conor and I used to quote the line you mentioned above endlessly when we worked together - "which can be fun... It can be fun. But it's not a game."
