It was the first game I would consider Video Crack. I watched people literally wait in line at my neighbors house from morning till night to get in on the Bond killing extravaganza. It was released in 1997 and paved the way for other games that were addictive like crack-cocaine: Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, Grand Theft Auto (any version), Call of Duty, and many others. I don't know one person our age that didn't watch it. That said, all of those same people hated the College Years!! I also think it is funny the Jessie Spano was in the Stripper movie a couple of years after SBTB went off air.
