Not going to lie, Olympics = bad ass. Doesn't really matter what sport it is. Swimming is sweet, and I am like you all tired of the Phelps talk. The relay (from the last posting) was awesome. The loss the Huff endured the race before the relay was also a damn good race, just the opposite effect. She was ahead by a whole length and then lost it as if Lezak was racing against her. Speaking of aquatic sports, has anyone watched the Water Polo? Holy crap what an awesome sport, if only I knew how to swim better, I would totally play this sport.

Dressage = idiotic, however, I also watched this event. I think it is funny how the horse leans to the left and walks like an intoxicated college student to the refrigerator. I think I am going to try and teach my dog how to do that event...wait, she already walks around like she is drunk.

Beach Volleyball and indoor volleyball have been fun to watch also. Welch and May have killed the ladies beach volleyball once again. The guys are actually about to kill someone with their spikes as they hit the ball so damn hard. Indoor volleyball = no one knows how it is played anymore. I have been asked like thirty times, why is there one person wearing a different uniform, is that the captain of the team? Why is the score more then 15, I thought 15 is what they play to? Tired of it. Need answers, let me know and I will write it on here one time so everyone can read, but I am sure you all know.

I missed the sychro diving somehow, however, I did catch the gymnastics last night. U.S. Men's team took the bronze barely, but luckily they had a guy from Morrison, CO on the horse to end it. That guy murdered that horse and rode it home for a bronze.

I am excited to watch some more Olympics tonight, after the Rockies game of course!!

speaking of amazing feats, did anyone watch the chinese men's gymnasts on rings last night? that one guy was amazing.(I think his last name was Lee. bad joke, I know.) I thought the announcer was just hyping it up to much, but once he did his routine, i was convinced that not even the most juiced up mr. universe competitor could do what he was doing. Incredible.

I watched boxing yesterday morning and soccer this morning on Telemundo since the other olympic channels we get weren't showing coverage (NBC and MSNBC. or is it CNBC? i don't know, we lost one of those a year or so ago and for the life of me I don't know which one is left, but I do know it had no olympics this morning) For the time being, Telemundo has replaced my morning news programs and will probably continue to do so for the duration of the olympics. Its almost better because I don't know what the announcers are saying, I just get to watch sports.

I agree about that Syncro diving and that commentator. She incorrectly underpined everyones score. "that is not going to get higher than a four" they end up getting an eight.

Flickerbock: Have you ever tried to dive well? Its the same thing with gymnastics. Yeah its slow but holy crap is it hard to do. I've tried to do some of these things and from just the shear difficulty of it I am amazed to watch these people do it so well.

Maybe it is my ADHD, maybe it is my need for action, but I absolutely despise synchronized diving. Hate it. Cannot stand watching it. At all. It kills me. I was watching the Olympics on Sunday night and I could not believe that there was nothing better on. There are a million and a half different events, and I am watching the Chinese win an incredibly lame event that they have not lost in the history of the world. Of course, I'm sure the Chinese think the same thing every time USA softball is on their televisions. . .
