To all who wish Colorado had an ocean, a bit of perpsective. I live less than one mile to the beach. In fact, as I write this I am looking out my window to see the sunset over the Pacific. And it is glorious.

What I miss as I write this, is my family, many of my friends, four seasons, down to earth people, great beer, neighbors (and people in general) who smile when you see them, the mountains, the stars, people who think that "True Religion" is about faith, not about a $300 pair of jeans (even though I do own a few and love them!), gas that is still less than $2 a gallon, fresh snow, crisp air that takes your breath away, great sports teams, and housing that costs less than $700K.

The grass is always greener. And I say this as the weather was 72 degrees today and I am not for sure that Denver got past 20 degrees.

I spent the 1st 21 years of my life in Virginia, the next 6 in Colorado, and then 3 years in South Carolina before making it back to the state where I plan on spending the rest of my life, Colorado. I also travel all over the country all the time for my work and have seen 39 states, last time I counted. Colorado is above and beyond the greatest place in the country to live, which is why I moved back even though all of my friends and family at the time lived elsewhere. There is just something about it that I can't put my finger on.

I will say that it is definitely missing water. Beautiful, peaceful, expansive bodies of water teeming with fish. I do miss that.

Hart, that is too funny and true. Why do you think Deuce doesn't ski? He doesn't want to get lost because he is as white as the snow.

"get rid of all the Texans" In regards to this I heard someone at my office say, "If God meant for Texans to ski, he would have made bull shit white."

If Colorado had an ocean, I never would have left. I do miss it quite often, especially the weather, my friends, the food, the BEER! You never know how great things like Mexican food, smoothies and Fat Tire are until they no longer exist in your world.

I have noticed that people from Colorado have a lot more pride in their state than most people. It is a great state, now if only we could get rid of all the Texans and Californians it would be even better!

Double Decker taco is good but a Nacho Cheese Gordida is even better.

Colorado is the place to be. From what I understand, we are the only place that can have all four seasons in 4 days. We can go from rain of Spring, to the hot of Summer, to the brisk cold of Fall to a blizzard of Winter in 4 days. I have seen it happen. In fact, we are also the only state that truly has all four seasons in a year anyway.

Colorado brings a little of everything. Like Flickerbock mentioned, everything is right here. From a up and coming local band scene, to skiing an hour away. From the high class people of Cherry Hills to the lower class people of 5-Points. From Hip-hop concerts to the Stock Show. Baseball, basketball, football, soccer and hockey. 90 degree football to 20 degree baseball. Colorado is the place to be. And for those of you who want to travel the world and see lots of different places, I suggest traveling the state. Colorado will give you many different experiences in many different places.

Black Dog Inn is a great Bed and Breakfast in Estes Park - I suggest you try it out. Tell them I sent you!

The only thing the state lacks as Mr. Dagger pointed out is water, fresh and salt. I am personally a fan of the 7 layer burrito. 7 layers of goodness.

Colorado does kick ass. and I say this having lived elsewhere (even though that "elsewhere" was only for years 0-9). Nowhere in the world has the things I love the most - cold weather for skiing (because I am elitist), warm weather for golfing (because I am elitist), beautiful scenery and open spaces, a bustling metropolis, and did I mention the best skiing in the world?

Every time I travel to other parts of the country, there is always something that is wrong with the situation that makes Colorado remain #1. (Mostly it is the lack of world class skiing an hour from where I am at.)

Now I really, really want a double decker taco. . .
