It was agreement. My wife read those books and convinced me that I should try them out. They are simplistic, plain, and just boring. The plot is non-existent, the characters are predictable and drab, and the writing is sophomoric at best. I also, am not in her primary demographic, though, so that may have something to do with it. The interesting point of the interview is that he compares Meyer's work to Rowlings work (Harry Potter). Having read those books as well, I completely agree with him. Just because your demographic is younger people doesn't mean that your writing should suck. In fact I was super pumped when they sent that b!tch, Joelle, home and felt bad that her teammate, who worked her butt off (figurativley, it's really big) in the gym had to be sent home too.
