FYI I'm not ready for the Digital TV change over. I was just waiting for them to cut me off and force me to do something. Now I guess I'll just procrastinate another 5 months.

Tron, all that would do would lead to the TV industry asking for a bailout. which would have the government talking about TV again instead of the real issues as stated above. Nobody wins here, except those 6% since they got this extra time.

I hope that 6% holds out indefinitly in getting updated. I would love to see a TV meltdown where people just up and stop watching. I felt the same way during the writers strike but it never paid off.

I read that interview with Stephen King about Twilight, but my reaction was not anger. It was agreement. My wife read those books and convinced me that I should try them out. They are simplistic, plain, and just boring. The plot is non-existent, the characters are predictable and drab, and the writing is sophomoric at best. I also, am not in her primary demographic, though, so that may have something to do with it.

The interesting point of the interview is that he compares Meyer's work to Rowlings work (Harry Potter). Having read those books as well, I completely agree with him. Just because your demographic is younger people doesn't mean that your writing should suck.

It is a good thing that I own a CJ-5 and not a Wrangler so I cannot be lumped into the "ass bags and douche nozzles" category.

Also, I watch Biggest Loser too, at first just because Mrs. Deuce wanted to, but then just because I got interested in seeing these huge people try to salvage some aspect of enjoyment for the rest of their (lengthening) lives. In fact I was super pumped when they sent that b!tch, Joelle, home and felt bad that her teammate, who worked her butt off (figurativley, it's really big) in the gym had to be sent home too.
