Given that Truth is funded by tobacco companies, I find the theory plausible. The only reason the American Legacy Foundation (the group that runs the Truth campaign) is around is because a group of state DA's basically told the tobacco companies that they needed to pay up or they would sue the hell out of them. That money funds that asinine campaign. I don't smoke cigarettes. I can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke. But it fries the hell out of me when anyone tells people they CAN'T smoke.
