I watched that Brady Bunch movie a couple of weeks ago, and it gets better with age. Gary Cole plays Mike with such no-nonsense straight ahead gusto, he's an absolute joy to watch. He doesn't blink once while the absurdity of the 90s world assaults him at every turn. He's completely oblivious to how fucking crazy weird his idyllic family is in modern times, if he lets on that he's in on the joke even once, the movie doesn't work even a little bit.

Whoever plays Alice doesn't hold a candle to Ann B. Davis though.

I've decided Addams Family Values might actually be better than the first one. The satire is more biting, the targets richer, and no dopey "let's steal the dabloons in their vault" master plot. Plus, summer camp is always an outstanding target for satire.

I like that you are consistent Hart. I mean you already had an article titled "Things we love: The Fugitive on Sundays". You must really like that movie.
