This was a great movie and fun to watch on a lazy day. Too bad they had to try and remake it, although the remake wasn’t unbearable it really had no chance of living up to the original. Walter Matthau was a great actor and I always enjoyed his work.

I am also looking forward to the other baseball movies you guys have lined up and hoping that a few of my favorites make it into the rotation.

“Jews, spics, niggers, and now a girl?” – Tanner Boyle

I love this movie. I will basically say this about all the baseball movies that you will review, since I love baseball movies. Off the top of my head, there is not one that I don’t like. That may sound like a challenge, CJS. Bring it on.

When I used to play in the Fed Center men’s softball league there was a team that had shirts with the Chico’s Bail Bonds logo on the back. I always liked that shirt, it’s subtle and you could always tell the morons from the other teams because they would make jokes about how “that team is sponsored by some bail bondsman” and you knew they didn’t get the reference.
