Yeah, from the musical side of things, it's a little goopy, but the words are way better than ours. “God keep our land glorious and free… O Canada we stand on guard for thee.” That's outstanding sentiment and very direct. For my money, it's better than than the somewhat abstract and damn near impossible to sing Star Spangled Banner.

But I might be a Commie, so take that for what you will.

To quote my husband while listening to the Canadian National Anthem, “Man, their National Anthem sure does sound like a Christmas Carol.” It does…seriously…think about it…

I am a big fan of Curling so I would have to go with that one but, I find it annoying that most of the time when they show it on the Olympics it is just the Skips throwing their stones, you miss so much strategy not seeing what the other guys have done. Speed skating is fun to watch (Short and Long track),
I do have to say the Women's freestyle skiing kicked ass Saturday night and that will be hard to top.

I personally love curling…if only because I discovered it in college when my neighbors were screaming at the top of their lungs that the damn Swedes knocked our rock out of the circle. We then proceeded to create an amazing drinking game that was so effective we forgot all the rules the next day.
