You maybe right on the Brandy Chastain thing, and frankly I don't give a damn. It's a soccer playing girl with her shirt off and it came up when I searched Mia Hamm.

I love that Slovakia was complaining after humiliating another team earlier. That's always fun.

I'd love to enjoy women's hockey, but as it stands, I don't. It'll be good once checking is allowed, and once the sport catches on more worldwide. This hasn't been around long at all, so it's only natural that the level of play isn't great. Once more girls get involved in youth hockey, I think women's hockey will be damn fine in several years. Or at least, I hope so.

That's not Mia Hamm with her shirt off. I believe it's Brandy Chastain.
and Women's Suffrage only relates to the right to vote.

Your comment about not letting up because you're ahead reminded me of a quote Jimmy Johnson made after that cowboys/vkikings game. He said, "If you don't like what I'm doing, then stop me." That seems appropriate, especially on this, the biggest stage for women's hockey. They're not handing out participation ribbons.

I had a friend my freshman year of high school that played hockey. It was supposedly a co-ed league but she was one of the only girls in the state. Checking was allowed in that league (Montana girls are tough), but it probably shouldn't have been. High school boys are not the most chivalrous and two guys checked her at the same time in one game, knocking her out for a few seconds. Actually, I think it was the eqiuvalent of a 5-year old boy hitting a girl because he liked her. But women should totally be able to check each other, screw being lady-like and polite.

I started to watch the womens hockey game yesterday too. I too got bored after just a few minutes, then I turned back after not too long to catch the score and it had magically jumped from 0-0 to 5-0 Canada, still in the 1st period. I then determined cross country skiing would probably be more exciting.
