Another reason to like Rise against - their view on the Ramones:

The Ramones Invented punk rock as we know it. We know that may be a controversial statement but all of the early seminal punk bands were trying to be The Ramones. They were playing pop music as they heard it and that was loud, fast, and dangerous without a care in the world. And the most important thing was that everyone could be a Ramone--they were just like me and you, and instilled the feeling that anyone could pick up a guitar and play their music (although not like THEM). That made everyone love them and that made the genre they created for the outsiders and the outcasts and anyone that wanted to belong somewhere. They're why we do what we do and why we still love this music.

When I first started reading the Rise Against article, I was thinking - what a typical punk rock response to that question. But as the article progressed, they really hit on some incredible albums that are far from punk. Led Zeppelin, Tommy, and Kind of Blue are astounding albums and it was cool to see a punk band pull inspiration from them. Another reason to like Rise Against.

I am a fucking fantastic Flick, dickhead.

Those weird names stories prove that local news is the biggest waste of time that you can do during the evenings. I learn more from going to sporcle.

I have to give props to the family with the wacky middle names. I can't believe they got so many people to fall for their prank, they really deserve a medal. Take that news media!

I wholeheartedly agree that many people are influenced by the coolness of things in movies. This makes me wonder what kind of effect "Zach and Miri Make a Porno" will have...hmmm....

This movie started a lot of people going out and playing Texas Hold'Em. Couldn't have been any better for the casinos and back of the club gambling. More and more people wanted into the games after this movie came out. And people say that movies don't affect what they do in your life. Seriously? After Fight Club, why do you think so many high school kids got in trouble for having fist fights for fun? After Fast and Furious, why did the illegal street racing scene jumped ten fold? Movies do increase the chance of people taking those actions into real life.

"It was Gretchen Mol, not Rachel Weisz, it even says so in the picture you posted."

You're absolutely right. Fixed. Thanks!

I agree that the worst part of that movie is when Mike finds out what the Russian’s tell is. Come on licking or not licking Oreos, the writers should have made Teddy KGB's tell uncontrollable flatulence when he is bluffing at least then it would have been hilarious. Even with that huge blunder I do agree Rounders is a great movie that is worth wasting a Saturday morning on.

Another totally implausible moment...when he spots the KGB's tell. You're telling me that a guy who is not only a hardcore mob dude, but also a legendary poker player, has a tell as obvious as licking Oreos? If only that were the case, then I'd be on late night ESPN rocking out in a casino full of zombies.
